Hope in Times of Disaster & Link-up
Today I’m guest posting over at my dear friend Bonny’s blog – Pearl’s OysterBed. It’s been a wonderful journey guest blogging for her and sharing my series – Awakening the Super in Your Man on her site. I’m so grateful that she has provided an avenue to sharing my heart for marriage & for promoting both of our blogs. My home state of Colorado has been devastated by all the flooding. Destruction definitely puts life into perspective and makes me realize just how important and precious the life of my spouse is!
If there’s one thing this disaster has taught me, it’s this: don’t forget just how special and precious your spouse is!
“Let the word of Christ richly dwell within you…”
Psalm 46: 1-11
“God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging. There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, the holy place where the Most High dwells. God is within her, she will not fall; God will help her at break of day. Nations are in uproar, kingdoms fall; he lifts his voice, the earth melts. The Lord Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress. Come and see what the Lord has done, the desolations he has brought on the earth. He makes wars cease to the ends of the earth. He breaks the bow and shatters the spear; he burns the shields with fire. He says, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.” The Lord Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress.”

If you have been affected by the Colorado flooding, please know that our thoughts & prayers are with you. I’ve been hearing some amazing testimonies from people about God’s love, provision, protection, and faithfulness.
I’d love to hear more stories about how God has moved through this disaster (or other disasters). How have you seen God prove Himself faithful in times of trouble?
**I know this is late and my apologies! The link-up is open & live now!
